Blueberry Buckle Pie: a Review of Picnik and Tale of a 3rd Grade Loser

05.05.08 | Comment?

So I was playing around the other day and created this masterpiece. A good friend of mine showed me this girls sappy Picnik photo album off facebook and how his girlfriend and he make fun of her by making their own “more devious” pictures. I set off to make my own and just for giggles, here is a small story I want to share:

“Once upon a time, in the third grade I was friends with a little nerd. The kid was not one of my cooler friends, but we chilled and played video games. His family was one of the only other ones to have a computer with Sim Tower… but I digress. The kid liked Blue’s Clues and Legos while we were all getting into Goldeneye 64, not cool. One day we were all playing with Legos at the good friend I refrenced earlier’s house and the phone rang, it was nerdlings mom. She informed him that there was fresh blueberry buckle pie at the house and like the little pudge muffin he was dropped everything he was doing (I believe we were making space destroyer ships to rule the universe) and ran home.

This ended up happening multiple times. We still to this day refer to him as “Blueberry Buckle Pie” and don’t really talk to him directly. I share this story only so that this picture makes sense and is remotely funny.”

Here is my actual review. Picnik is a great service for making sappy, cute, or really funny photos without delving into Photoshop. This is a service you can send to your mom and have here cranking out scrapbook worthy material within the hour. By the time I created all these photos, Photoshop would not have even been done loading up. It’s even easy to e-mail out to friends. Definitely worth your time and attention go check it out. Also if the following picture doesn’t make you laugh, please stop coming here.
